Privacy Policy

Overview

Unscatter ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it when you use the Unscatter app.

The short version: we collect as little as possible, we don't sell your data, and we give you full control over what you share.

Data we collect

Data you create in the app

Tasks, rewards, focus sessions, daily check-ins, and preferences are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data does not leave your device unless you explicitly use a sync or backup feature.

Purchase information

If you purchase a Premium or Lifetime subscription, we use RevenueCat to process and verify your purchase. RevenueCat may collect your Apple ID, transaction identifiers, and subscription status. We do not receive your payment details. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for details.

Analytics (optional)

We may collect anonymised, aggregated usage analytics (e.g. which features are used most) to improve the app. This data contains no personally identifiable information and cannot be used to identify you.

Crash reports

We collect crash logs to help us fix bugs. These may include device type, OS version, and the state of the app at the time of the crash. No personal task data is included.

Data we do NOT collect

• Your name, email address, or any contact information (unless you contact support)
• Your task content or reward descriptions
• Location data
• Data from your contacts, camera, or microphone
• Data about other apps on your device

Notifications

If you enable notifications, we use Apple's Push Notification Service (APNs) to send reminders. We do not use your device token for any purpose other than delivering notifications you have requested. You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings.

Data retention

Your task and app data lives on your device. If you delete the app, that data is removed. We do not retain any server-side copies of your task or personal data.

Purchase records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat for the duration required by their policies and applicable law.

Children

Unscatter is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
